about.

Piknik Theatre is a nonprofit theater company in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

OUR MISSION

Piknik Theatre creates professional, entertaining, and inclusive performing arts in the Yampa Valley. We believe and encourage the accessibility of the performing arts for everyone through free productions.

We believe in the immense power, value, and influence of arts education and have created opportunities for our professional artists to teach workshops, educate through our school systems, and engage with audiences of all ages.

Professional actors and local talent collaborate to create our summer season. This unique opportunity allows the community to share in exceptional theatrical experiences as both actors and audience members.

Join us for professional theater in the Yampa River Botanic Park. Make it a summer tradition! Bring friends and family, a blanket and chairs, food and drinks, and enjoy.

testimonials.

"Bravo Piknik Threatre! We brought our grand daughters, 6 and 4, to see “Toad and Frog,” and we were all totally mesmerized. The acting, the voices, the musicians, the lyrics were all spectacular. It was definitely Broadway worthy!"-Leslie A.

"This pool of talent is amazing! What a gift to Steamboat!"-Theodore L.

“Working together with the professional actors makes it particularly fun for me, because it’s often the same people in the plays, and you kind of get to know them and have a relationship,” he explained. “These people are so accomplished. It’s really fun for me to be able to be on the same stage as them."-Larry M.
