As a board member, I have the opportunity to combine my theater background with my role in education. Our work provides students with valuable opportunities to engage in the performing arts, nurturing creativity, building confidence, and fostering teamwork. I am honored to help guide Piknik’s partnership with the SSSD, as we work together to lay a strong foundation for future learning and growth.

MAYLING SIMPSON

Mayling began attending Piknik Theatre with her grandchildren in 2014 and the Shakespeare plays each fall. She was so impressed with the 2019 production of Hamlet that she asked Stuart how she could support the organization. Mayling had previously served on the Board of Opera Steamboat for several years. She loves supporting the arts in Routt County.

KIRK AIGNER

Kirk Aigner has lived in Steamboat Springs for 17 years, actively participating in the performing arts with groups like Piknik Theatre, Cabaret, Pirate Theatre, and the Players at Perry-Mansfield. A founding member of the old Chief Players, Kirk also works as a Vocational Specialist for Horizons Specialized Services and serves on the Steamboat Creates board. He is excited to help shape Piknik Theatre’s future during this time of transition and growth!

JESSICA KOPPE

Serving on the Piknik Theatre board allows me to help shape and guide the hearts and minds of our community through theatre. I believe that live theatre helps spark imagination not only for the performer but also the audience. It allows static concepts to come to life and challenges how we view the written word and the world and forces us to think outside of our perception of things.
